In a valley of the river nearly of settlement Tulsky there is a small mountain, carrying the name Shakhan. There was a huge burial mound here many years ago. During its excavation the splinters of ceramic utensils, gold and silver ornament, bones of animals and people were found. And the main find was the gold crown of the King of the Scythian tribes. Once, coming back from the next attack, the King of Scythian tribe felt ill hardly. Any spells and medicine could not help him and the King has died. All his army was going around of the imperial tent.

The king's body has been lifted on a mountain and prepared for a sacrificial fire. The perfect horses have been moved to him, the beautiful bondmaids and then a hot flame blazed up.

A black smoke came up to the sky, the shouts and cry of victims were distributed. After the fire has burnt down, ashes was poured into a hole. From this hole they have dug a trench to the imperial tomb, there they have laid a part of production, seized in fights weapon and his gold crown. Then each soldier took ground from the next hills into his cap and threw it on the tomb.

They were so many, that soon at the top of the mountain the majestic burial mound has grown. Many centuries have passed, the burial mound has been destroyed and plundered by the selectors of treasures, the archaeologists dug it out. The crown of the King is kept in the Hermitage. And the mountain has the name Shakhan, that means "the King", the "Sovereign".
