The situation in cattle-breeding has positively changed. By 01.07.2007 the livestock and poultry (all categories of farms), has increased in comparison with the same period of the preceding year. The cattle has increased by 5,2% (2476 heads more), pigs - 14,1% (3805 heads more), sheep and goats-30,5% (8910 heads), the poultry has increased in 1,3 times. The cattle stock increased due to increase of animals in people's farms, farms; the quantity of pigs, sheep and goats has increased in the context of all categories of farms.

The production of cattle-breeding has increased over the accounting period. On milk production growth rate the Republic of Adygeya is on the 3rd place among the. subjects of Southern Federal District.

During first half of the year 13 thousand tones of meat (production of cattle and poultry for slaughter) have been produced in all categories of farms, that is by 5,5% more than production volume of the same period of the preceding year.

The output increased due to increase of pork in 1,5 times and poultry by 13,7% at agricultural enterprises. The production of milk herd over the accounting period in the republic has increased by 13,1 %, but on average yield of milk of one cow (1453 kilograms) the republic takes only the 7th place.
